BTS Health Digest #02 - Important Health Days in January 2023
How you can use them in your business.
Hi,
Trust you are doing great.
So, every year, we have key dates designated as world health days by the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN) and other health agencies. The idea behind these days is to teach and create more awareness around these health issues.
The key dates in January 2023 are:
World Braille Day: 4th January
International Paget’s Awareness Day: 11th January
World Leprosy Day: 30th January
World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day: 30th January
Why are these days important?
These days are actually important to healthcare institutions, healthcare and health tech start-ups, healthcare professionals and health content creators.
For hospitals, these are days that you can earmark to educate your patients about these health conditions either through newsletters, fliers or online webinars. It has been shown that patients are happy when they are educated about health issues.
For healthcare content creators, it allows you plan your content calendar and create relevant materials for these key days.
How to use these days
There are several ways to put these days to good use especially for hospitals, and health content creators. Some of them are:
Social media posts: create content around these days and share on your social media platforms.
Webinars: host free webinars with these topics in mind.
Twitter Spaces: hospitals and content creators can host twitter spaces on these days to drive more awareness. Specialists can be invited to talk about them.
Livestreams: Live streams can be done from brand accounts to talk about these days with experts in attendance. Livestreams can be on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Newsletters: for hospitals, start-ups, and content creators that send newsletters, it is a good medium to educate subscribers about these conditions on these days. Â
Podcasts: for healthcare brands that have a podcast, an episode can be dedicated to these topics.
If you do not have any of these platforms, consider getting one this year as digital is the way to go.
